Zach’s Editorial: Pueblo Baseball Field
Was the minor league baseball stadium project a missed opportunity or a dodged bullet? That’s the question that many people may be asking right now. I believe this was a very good concept and I applaud the creativity. There are going to be pros and cons to any project this size. The job of our elected officials and our community is to weigh them and come up with the best decision.
First, I’d like to mention a few of the positive aspects. This would have been a boost to our tourism industry and Downtown area. Larger events Downtown would be possible by the stadium and three hotels being constructed. And according to the developer, this project would have brought 350 to 400 jobs, half of them seasonal.
